Don’t let yourself be stuck in a prairie-dog cube all day! Be sure to get several walks, ideally, outside, if you can.

Reserving your best time for YOU is encouraging, as is the part about errands/walks in the middle of the day. Being stuck in a prairie-dog cube all day sucks the creative energy from my soul–thank you for sharing these tidbits about your life!
Best,
Barb D.

Yes, I’m on the same line in Myers-Briggs. I’m either an ENTJ or an INTJ.

I always enjoy anything written by Atul Gawande. He writes for the New Yorker and his books are all fabulous, but especially Being Mortal. I also enjoyed The Emperor of All Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee. Both of these writers are physicians.

Are you familiar with the Myers-Briggs assessment? To use a football analogy I’m at the 50 yard on the introvert/extrovert scale.
Enjoyed the podcast you did with Ed Gandia some time ago regarding the writing process. Keep up the great work!

But somehow, sometimes I just think that noboby would care about what I have to say. So, reading your post showed me that we all have this inner voice trying to stop us, I am not alone!
I will for sure try to find online support.
Maybe any of you have any book written by other medical students or physicians to recommend?

Thank you…

I felt exactly the same way when my kids were young but now that they’re older (our son moved out this week and our daughters won’t be far behind) I find I do need to seek out more social interactions. I like your comment about the “seasons” of life. So true…
