I totally respect your right to practice your faith but I refrain from making any faith-based suggestions myself.

I suggest investigating the beautiful religion of Islam, where in accepting Islam, prayer five times a day is a must and achievements include not just closeness to the Creator, but also unbeatable physical and spiritual well-being, This is possible with just 17 standings, bowings, and prostrations to the Lord of all Mankind throughout the course of the day. Seems incredible but tried and tested over the years.

I bought mine in Vancouver, where I’m based. (Not sure where you are.) The company I used, Chairlines, noted that the desktops were more expensive than they thought warranted so they have them made specially (and less expensively.) Doing something like that might help you save some $$. Here is the link to the company: http://www.richelieuergo.com

I have read and reread this article, and followed the links. Okay I get it. I’m going to do this. Sacral pain and nerve issues are caused from sitting too long and I have both even though I have a great chair. Probably too great.

But I can’t find this type of desk you found – Richelieu – where did you find it? The one’s I’m seeing are all pretty pricey.

Thanks
Kat

I’ve never heard about the idea of running a route in reverse but it sounds really smart! (Am now thinking about whether it’s possible to WRITE in reverse….)

I can let projects or tasks that require more than two pomodoros, hijack my motivation and productivity. I love the idea of changing perspective AND switching between projects/tasks every 25 minutes. It reminds me of a running tip that helps me bust past boredom or a plateau…run the route in reverse. It always amazes me how this slight change in perspective makes running feel new again. I love simple solutions!

I’d thought of putting my table over the treadmill but the difficulty with the treadmill is that it’s so noisy. Also, I doubt whether the motor is strong enough to stand up to such continuous use…. Good idea to listen to books while you do housework!

I still wonder if you put your desk over the treadmill you have whether you might like it that way too.

I have invested in a iPod to listen to my books while I do necessary domestic work. I am sure I will find more ideas for writing that way and maybe grow smarter in the process. Thinking about doing my chores gets me off the chair and moving, which is what I really need to stay mobile.
