Oh, and DON’T fret! Instead, celebrate being able to write it so easily!

Thanks for the advice, Daphne. Three months is a good idea. I’ve already started work on another, so I can put my focus there instead of fretting about the other.

True. It is very difficult to write about something if you feel no passion for the topic. That’s why it’s so important to find a reason to be passionate about whatever subject you need to write about.

You make a good point about military influence. That said, he was also a choir boy (which surprised me, but perhaps shouldn’t have). Anyway, he may well have been exposed to religious ideas in that venue.

What a good point, Marcelo! Just let me add a point for non-musicians: taking a break and doing SOMETHING ELSE is the best thing to do when you are stuck with your writing. If you don’t play the guitar, then go for a walk. Get away from your desk! The answer/solution will come much faster this way.

Although it’s hard to have the strength to do that, isn’t it?

My view is that many writers have ADHD and coffee and cigarettes help them deal with that. I don’t think they help creativity but they may aid focus.
