Drudgery is the worst! The concept of applying fun to writing is the same secret for success in nearly every human endeavor. You, dear lady, are amazing! Looking forward to trying the new Hemingway app!

I once had a reporter in my department who attempted to use the word “hilarious” in every story. I almost always took it out, but it made writing more fun for him. Good suggestions, Rose!

And that I’ve been able to convince you to do this is also fun for me. Yipee!

You convinced me. I decided to get it to play with my writing.

For instance, I tell myself to try to use the word “straddle” before the end of my writing time, or to use alliteration at least five times. Games are fun because they require us to focus on an achievable task and (for the best games!) use creativity to achieve it. I love the idea of thinking of writing as a game.

The Hemingway app is really, really great so be sure to give it a test drive. With Fly Lady be aware that she’s unrepentant about some of her crazy typos. She constantly talks about people falling on their franny. (I know! Poor Franny!) What’s worse, is that when readers point this error out to her (thankfully, I never did!) she complains about them being too picky. Oy…

I’m going to start with the Hemingway app and then check out Fly Lady and the Get it Done group.

I think writing (and distributing) blog posts is what I need to do to take my business to the next level. This is just the encouragement I need!
