Thanks Aurore. If I’m understanding you correctly, then an “aldehydic waxiness” is simply a STRONG waxy smell. Is that right? And yes, I can smell your grandmother’s beeswax and Proust’s madeleine!

In between, it helps me to improve my English vocabulary.

From what I understood about aldehydic, it helps to diffuse
the fragance, it increases it!

So I would expect an ‘aldehydic waxiness’ to remind me about
this strong smell that I found in my grandmother’s house (I’m from the South of France) when she has just polished her furniture with very good quality beewax. This strong fragrance stayed there for weeks. To me, it’s a Proust’s madeleine about my childhood’s places.

Can you smell it ? 🙂
