I’ve always wondered if there is an increase in cynicism or if I’ve just become more conscious of it as a result of aging. Whatever the reason, I’m with you (and Maria Popova): it’s a mistake to give in to it.

Thanks for that suggestion. And another suggestion was to fight cynicism, which struck me as a good way to approach it. I’ve noticed that there is more cynicism than ever and it’s a mistake to give in. So I’m on board to actively fight it!
