I file as little as possible but I do keep my drafts in Word. I always name each file with the date like this: 16-02-19-name-of-story. (Starting with the year, then the month, then the day means the stories are auto filed in my folders in chronological order.) This convention means I ALWAYS know which version of the story is the most recent.

Along the same lines how do you sort and file you writing, especially as it may take several drafts to finish a blog post? Do you just save it as a word file or print it off and file it? I finally created a “crappy first draft” blog over at blogger and any thing I write I throw there, I dont’ publish or promote it, purely for storage. Thanks

I would love if you’d do an article on productivity sometime!

Thanks for providing this helpful link. Interesting piece. I agree with the idea that it’s important to document HOW you are spending your time right now. For me, this has been very valuable in improving my own efficiency and effectiveness.

I agree. Mine is a bit too long right now. It takes me about an hour (including my back exercises) but it helps give my day a great start!

Starting your day with a short and carefully crafted morning ritual will empower your whole day. http://www.fullrliving.com/rituals/
