I’m going to listen to the samples and also look at the book on amazon.com to determine which I want to try. You’re an inspiration to read more and that’s my goal for next year, but I’ll listen as well since that can be done while doing other things. And I’m going to go to the Brain Pickings site as well.

Yes, they’re both so well written. I’ve never “listened” to Joan Didion but she strikes me as the sort of writer who might be more interesting to read. What appealed to me about the event I described above was the intersection of art: acting + trumpet + writing.
