Having a notebook to write things down is a really good idea. LOVE your simile: tense as a cat in a storm!

One of my big issues was my mind would come up with more things for me to do while I was multitasking. I’d end up throwing my focus in every direction and tense as a cat in a storm. I have stuck now to one thing at a time and I keep a notebook at the ready. Anything that pops in my mind gets written on the notebook and I move on.

Thanks so much for catching this, Russ. I’ve made the fixes, now.

One quibble, under point 2, the sentence starting, “Well, oxygenated glucose the exactly same fuel…” should have “is” (or equivalent verb) between “glucose” and “the,” and “exactly” isn’t exactly the word you want there!

Keep up the great content. Now I have to check my email.

I agree. But can’t you treat FB like the postal carrier? Pick it up no more than once a day! Why don’t you suggest your nephew phone or text you if he needs immediate help?

But it’s a mixed blessing and often a distraction. I am mentoring my nephew, who is setting up a new business. I find the ping of Facebook messages from him to be the greatest distraction as I often lose my train of thought. “Maybe I ought to check. He might be having a problem.” While there are huge benefits with email, I think life was simpler when the postman brought the letters in the morning and that was that.

You are not unusual, Marco. Very few people are able to multi-task.

That´s it. I think that is a certain kind of procrastination or sabotage to my own work. At the present time, I try to do several tasks one at a time. In fact, when I finish one of them, I take some time to do anything funny. I try to do some relaxation and after that I will start my next task. In this way, I hope achieve physical and mental health.
