If you have an iPhone, Transcribe (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/transcribe-speech-to-text/id1241342461?mt=8) is available as an app. The first 15 minutes are free. After that, it costs you $5 per hour.
There is also a service called TranscribeMe! (https://transcribeme.com) that costs 79 cents per minute.

I have not used either service myself so I can’t comment on their accuracy or customer service. And, by the way, I am NOT an affiliate, so I won’t receive any kickbacks if you decide to use either service.

Regrettably, I have no ability to predict the future! I frequently cast my mind back to the Jetsons (in the 1960s) with little cars flying through the air. Looks as though they couldn’t predict the future either, although perhaps drones come somewhat close?

So, any microphone and software has to work on a smartphone. So far I use my Android out of the box voice to text & Google docs but have to promptly review to translate from what Google crowd sourced AI heard to what I actually said.

Someday I suppose we’ll do all our online work this way. Though as it is I get funny looks when I suddenly start speaking out of context. What’s next, a “helmet of silence?” A mind reading internet?

I’ve never used voice recognition with Google Docs, but I’m always wary of “free” stuff. Nevertheless, it’s better than having NO voice recognition. One thing I suggest you consider: Such software usually works better with a good quality microphone, so you might consider investing in one of those.
